Biography
2015-Current: PhD in Chemical Engineering, Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, UK
Alberto is a PhD student in Ferry Melchels' research group. The research activity focuses on the development of 3D printed scaffolds with shape memory properties for bio-medical applications. Alberto studied Chemical Engineering at "Università degli Studi di Palermo" (Palermo, Italy) and spent ten months studying at "Marmara Üniversitesi" in Istanbul (Turkey) as part of the Erasmus Programme. His final dissertation focused on polymeric nano-composite processing and characterisation.
When not at work Alberto enjoys watching movies, cooking and playing guitar.
