Hanna is a PhD student in Stephen Yarwood's research group. The research in this group concentrates on the field of cAMP signaling, in particular the role of the exchange protein activated by cAMP (EPAC) sensor proteins in the control of health and disease. Before coming to Heriot-Watt University, Hanna was a research technician for the Scottish Pulmonary Vascular Unit (SPVU) in the University of Glasgow's Instititute of Cardiovascular and Medical Sciences. Previously, Hanna studied a BSc in Anatomy and a MRes in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Glasgow. When not at the University, Hanna likes to read (a lot), go to the cinema, and travel, in particular to Canada, Finland and Costa Rica to see family and friends.
