Biography
2015-2018: PhD in Bioengineering, Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, UK
2012-2013: Diploma Thesis, Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany
Kai is a PhD student in Graeme Whyte's group. The research in this group focuses on microfluidic-related bio problems. One project will be isotropic cell-tomography by rotation of the cells. Kai studied at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg Physics. In his Diploma Thesis he investigated mechanical properties of Collagen Networks. In that time he got in touch with Biophysics and realized the big impact of Biophysics in the progress of mankind. Beyond university Kai likes to climb and surf.
