2008-2012: BSc in Mathematics, Aristotle University, Thessaloniki, GR
Vangelis is a Research Assistant in Vassilis Sboros' research group. The research in this group focuses on microvessel mapping by tracking microbubbles in ultrasound imaging. Previously, Vangelis graduated from the school of Mathematics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) and continued his studies in the same department with a Masters in Statistics and Mathematical Modelling. During his final studies he became familiar with Matlab Software, Markov Chain and Bayesian Theory which consist the main tool of his current research topic. Based on his strongly statistical background he extended his skills in the field of microbubbles tracking for ultrasound applications and gained knowledge in basic ultrasound analysis. Beyond university Vangelis spends his free time jogging, going out and travelling.
