Allende is a PhD student in Rory Duncan's research group. Her PhD project is focused on the development of novel methods to analyze the dynamics and distribution of BK channels at the level of single molecules in cell membranes using super-resolution microscopy, molecular manipulation and electrophysiology. Previously, Allende studied a BSc in Biochemistry and an MSc in Neuroscience, with specialization in Developmental Neurobiology.
