Robyn is a PhD student currently undertaking an industrial studentship for Hyaltech. The research aim is to learn more about the mechanism of capsular polysaccharide production in streptococcus equi, with the goal of identifying ways of influencing the molecular weight. Previously, Robyn studied biomedical science at Edinburgh Napier University before working at Quintiles as a medical laboratory scientist. Desiring to extend her experience in research and to bridge industry and academia she made the decision to pursue a PhD. Outside of university Robyn plays hockey, goes on long dog walks, bakes and socializes with friends and family.
